ANNTIAN SS26 ‚BOUQUET‘
..whenever we are in gardens or in nature, we feel what a great privilege it is and what a „luxury“ it is in our time, because it demands what has become most precious in our society: time, attention, and space. It is so healing to experience the cycles in nature and see how everything needed is already there. Mother Earth, Brother Moon, Sister Sun. Everything has its meaning and purpose and is inherently in harmony and balance.
Our SS26 collection „Bouquet“ is a worship and an invitation to receive, enjoy, and respect the full bouquet of what is given to us humans just by being alive.
For a whole year cycle, we visited Sonja & Jim at their Slowflower-Farm „VON HAND“ and photographed their flower-bouquets.
Arranged them into panels, photographed them, and used them to create the prints for the SS26 collection. We feel connected to them and are grateful for the respect,
dedication and mindfulness they offer within their work towards the beings - flowers.
*In the slow flower movement, flowers are grown regionally by hand, free from pesticides and poisons, in contrast to the conventional flower shop or supermarket flowers that we all used to know. Questioning: What is the mark we will leave behind? Who bears the consequences of our behavior? We are part of a large, complex organism and feel aware for the gifts nature bestows upon us. Because what can happen during cultivation—exploitation, environmental pollution—affects us all.
All fabrics in the collection are organic such as: Hemp, Peace Silk, Peace Chiffon Silk, Cotton, Linen. Garments are made in a small to medium-sized tailoring workshop based in Berlin, that is partner for about 17 years. All patterns and prototypes are created by Anntian in their studio in Lünow.
